General

The Korea SIM Card’s network originates from KT (Korea Telecom), renowned as the most dependable and highly regarded carrier in South Korea.

Yes, our SIM card covers all regions of South Korea. You can enjoy internet access at 4G LTE speeds throughout the entire country.

Unfortunately, we don’t offer delivery service at this time. We kindly request that you pick up your SIM card at the KT counter at major airports and the harbor below.

There are two types of SIM cards: ‘Data only’ and ‘Data & Phone number’. Please book the ‘Data & phone number’ to receive a Korean phone number. Also, please be aware that you need to top-up credits for calling and SMS separately at the counter upon pickup of the SIM card to make calls and send texts with the Korean number. If you don’t top up credits or if you book the ‘Data only’ type, your SIM card will only support data.

Incoming calls and SMS are free and unlimited. However, to make calls and send SMS messages, you must purchase the ‘Data & Phone Number’ option and top-up credits at the counter upon pickup. The minimum top-up amount is KRW 5,500 (VAT included). With a top-up of 5,500 KRW, you can make a 20 minutes call.

The rates for making calls and sending SMS message are as follows:

  • Domestic ( Korea → Korea)
    – Call: 4.4 KRW/sec, SMS: 110 KRW/message
  • International (Korea → Overseas)
    – Call: depending on the country, SMS: 330 KRW/message

Booking

Please make a reservation at least one day before your pickup date. Once you make a reservation, it will be confirmed within 5 minutes, and the voucher will be sent to you.

Typically, booking is confirmed within 5 minutes of payment, and the voucher will be sent to you instantly. If you haven’t received the email voucher, please contact us with your order number.
※ If you are reserving for a pickup date more than 60 days in advance, the reservation will be confirmed 60 days prior to the pickup date, and the voucher will be sent at that time.

Yes you can. If you need a SIM card tomorrow, don’t worry and book your SIM card today.

Payment

Yes, you can make payments even if you don’t have a PayPal account. However, please note that in some countries PayPal has eliminated the “Pay without an account” option, so you might need to create an account to make a payment.

No, currently we only accept payments through PayPal. However, you can use your credit or debit card to make the payment without creating a PayPal account.

Pick up

You can pick up the SIM cards at the designated locations listed below. You can choose the location that’s most convenient for you when making your booking.

To pick up your SIM card, present the mobile voucher and passport to the counter staff. Please note that the voucher is valid only at the designated pick-up date.

All of our locations are operated by our trusted partners, allowing you the flexibility to visit any available location according to your schedule without needing to modify your reservation. Please note that each counter may have different operating hours, so we recommend checking the operating hours carefully before visiting.

Extend & Top-up

To extend the term of your SIM card, please visit the KT roaming extension page. You can extend the period in increments of 3, 5, 10, 20 or 30 days. Please note that extending the usage period is only possible until the expiration date of the SIM card.

Please visit the KT roaming top-up page to charge the credit for outgoing calls and SMS. Charging additional credits is only available for the ‘Prepaid SIM.’ If you use ‘Prepaid Data SIM,’ the charging is unavailable. Please note that the minimum charging amount is KRW 5,500 (VAT included.)

Change & Refund

If you need to amend your booking details, please make a new booking and then contact us at [email protected]. We will assist you in canceling the initial booking and providing a full refund.

You can cancel your booking until a day before the pick-up date. If it is before the pick-up date, please get in touch with us at [email protected]; we will help you cancel. If it is after the pick-up date, cancellation is not permitted.

There is no cancellation fee for reservations. However, it might be difficult to cancel reservations after the pickup date has passed. If you wish to cancel a reservation, please contact us at least one day in advance at [email protected].

Fair Usage Policy

Fair usage policy is a standard set by the mobile network industry to manage mobile traffic and protect users from excessive usage. The policy is designed to restrict usage, limit speed, or take other measures to manage data traffic. Please avoid excessive data usage such as downloading large amounts of data, streaming movies, playing online games, etc.

If you continue to use excessive amounts of data, Pocket WiFi Korea will not be responsible for any problems accessing the internet or any restrictions placed by the mobile network operators. You will be responsible for any extra fees that might be applied by the local mobile network operators if you continue to use excessive data.
