‘My Love from the Star’ filming location is a big hit with tourists
The Korean drama ‘My Love from the Star’ may have ended, but the locations where the main stars Jun Ji-Hyun and Kim Soo-Hyun filmed some of the scenes continue to grow in popularity.
One of the places that appeared in the show is Hangnim Coffee House. Located in Daehangno (University Street), this is where Kim Soo-Hyun was seen playing janggi (Korean chess) many times. This coffee house opened nearly 60 years ago and drew viewers in with its well-preserved traditional look and classic atmosphere.
Hangnim Coffee House is also known for its house blend (Hangnim Royal Blend), retro parfait, and cheese cakes. This quaint old-fashioned coffee shop has been an iconic establishment in the Daehangno area since it opened in 1985. The name originated from a festival called “Hangnimje” held by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences located adjacent to the coffee shop back in the day.
Other tourist attractions near Hangnim Coffee House and around the Daehangno (University Street)area include Naksan Park, Ihwa Mural Village, Changgyeonggung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace and Huwon and Jongmyo Shrine.
